Logging into PracticeMaker
If you are starting PracticeMaker® on your host computer, or using
PracticeMaker®LE, open the PracticeMaker5 folder and double-click on 1.Office Startup. You will have to enter your FileMaker database password. You will then have to login (see below).

From a Workstation
To get started from a workstation make sure that the Host/Server computer has its proper software running. Then double click on the PracticeMaker Client file. This file is preset to open PracticeMaker® with the lowest level "database" password. The screen below then opens. Note: You cannot login if the networking protocol is not TCP/IP. Note for system administrators: If you want to open the software with a higher level of database access (such as is required to change user and administrator passwords), you need to do the following. Double-click on PracticeMaker Client and immediately...


If this workstation wants to set its default view of the Appointment scheduler, you would select either List, Full or Single for the view that you module to open to when you navigate to it! Click Quit if you want to quit before you log-in!

To log onto the PracticeMaker® network, click the blue Logon to PracticeMaker® Network. If you are having trouble getting this workstation to see the network click the Troubleshooting button at the upper left. You can read more about troubleshooting on the Network considerations section!

Once connected to from a workstation, you will get the password dialog box below. Select the User and enter the correct Password. Once successfully logged in the software will completely start up! To read more about setting up your login preferences click here.

Regardless of the method used to log-in, either on the host or from a workstation, after a Full startup you will end up at the Main Menu of Patients, as seen here!

From this screen you create a New Patient Record, Find a Patient Record and other functions.
